CT-AIMH will Offer a 10-topic IMH Childcare Series in Spanish

CT-AIMH will offer a 10-topic IMH childcare series, delivered in Spanish for Early Care and Education providers and Family Child Care providers. It will start on April 1, 6-8 pm, for 11 Thursday evenings (first meeting is an orientation). Registration will open up on March 25th, 2021.

Estamos encantados de que nos acompañe en este Entrenamiento de Salud Mental de Niños. Este entrenamiento está dividido en 11 sesiones y es para los Proveedores del Cuidado de Niños ya sea en centros particulares o en Head Start.  Este entrenamiento es en Español.

Cada sesión será de dos horas.  Está recomendado que los participantes asistan a las once sesiones para que de esa manera puedan recibir un mejor entendimiento de la información y para que puedan formar relaciones de equipo. 

Las sesiones de entrenamiento son los jueves siguientes:  1, 8, 15, 22, 29 de Abril,  6, 13, 20, 27, de Mayo, 3, 10 de Junio , 6pm-8pm.  

We are excited that you will be joining us for the11-session Infant/Toddler Mental Health Training Series for Childcare Providers!  This series is designed specifically for childcare providers and family child care providers (including early Head Start) who are working with infants and toddlers.

Each training session will be two hours long. Each person is strongly encouraged to attend all 11 evenings, in order to get the full benefit of the series and to experience relationship building.

The workshops will be held on the following Thursdays:  April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, May 6, 13, 20, 27,  June 3, 10, from 6pm-8pm. 

Este entrenamiento será dirigido por Karen Martinez, Jolie A. Garfinkel y Marina Rodriguez co-presentadoras en Español.

The workshops will be led by Karen Martinez, Jolie Garfinkel and Marina Rodriguez who will be co-presenting in Spanish.

*Nota- Esta serie de entrenamientos está basada en los materiales desarrollados por la Texas Association for Infant Mental Health y está diseñado para que los Proveedores de Cuidado Infantil adquieran el conocimiento.

*Note-This series of eleven workshops is based on materials developed by the Texas Association for Infant Mental Health, designed for Child Care providers to meet the Competencies in Infant Mental Health.

Temas incluyen: Salud Mental Infantil, El Apego, Desarrollo Temprano del Cerebro, Desarrollo y Comportamiento del Infante y del Niño, Comportamiento, Temperamento, Integración Sensorial, La Importancia del Juego, Trabajando con las Familias, Práctica Reflexiva.

  • Estos entrenamientos son gratis.
  • Se otorgarán certificados de asistencia.
  • Información acerca de IMH-Endorsement®, también estará disponible.

Topics will include:   Introduction to Infant Mental Health, Attachment, Brain Development,  Infant/Toddler Development, Behavior, Temperament,  Sensory Integration, The Importance of Play, Partnering with Families and Reflective Practice.

  • There is no fee for these trainings.
  • Certificates of Attendance will be issued following the workshop series.
  • Information about IMH-Endorsement® will also be available.
