2024 CT-AIMH Virtual Fall Conference

Location: Virtual on ZOOM
Description: The purpose of this presentation is to honor the diversity of kinship care families, their extended families and birth parents. No particular family consolation or organization is inherently optimal compared to any other. Diversity-Informed practice will be highlighted as a method of engaging caregivers in utilizing their strengths and managing challenges unique to kinship care. A special focus will be given to the social emotional implications and the unique issues that come up for infants and young children in kinship care.
