ADVISORY COMMITTEES

ADVISORY COMMITTEES

posted on January 23, 2025

Belonging is an inherent need to establish a consistent, nurturing, and safe connection with others.

CT-AIMH seeks to ensure that our staff, the professionals that we serve, and most importantly infants, young children, and their families, experience a sense of belonging and feel seen, valued, and supported within the context of their community and culture. Belonging shifts our stance from a place of being experts to one of valuing partnerships and relationships. It is both a commitment to learning and engaging with others, in the context of relationships, and a lifelong reflective journey.

CT-AIMH has an unwavering commitment to individual and organizational efforts that:
  • Recognize, reflect on, and promote self-awareness of preconceived judgments.
  • Embrace lived experiences and various ways of knowing, doing, and being.
  • Address long-standing, systemic barriers to child and family well-being.
  • Promote a culture of belonging for all infants, young children, and the caregivers and professionals who care for them.

Join the CT-AIMH Belonging Advisory Committee

To join the CT-AIMH Belonging Advisory Committee, please contact the co-chair of the Committee: Carlita Elias at [email protected]. This committee meets the 2nd Thursday of the month from 9-10:30am.
